Anti-tumoral effect of RG108 in prostate cancer

O artigo intitulado «Anti-tumoral effect of the non-nucleoside DNMT inhibitor RG108 in human prostate cancer cells» encontra-se inserido num projecto de doutoramento em Patologia e Genética Molecular do ICBAS-UP, desenvolvido no Centro de Investigação do IPO-Porto. O cancro da próstata (CaP) é uma das neoplasias malignas mais comuns e uma causa importante de morbilidade e mortalidade, nomeadamente devido à aquisição de hormono-resistência. O silenciamento de genes supressores tumorais resultante da metilação aberrante do DNA é um fenómeno muito frequente em carcinoma prostático.
